I returned from an incredible 7-night stay at Hotel Riu Touareg last week🇨🇻 and I can honestly say it exceeded all expectations!
✨ This resort is huge and truly has something for everyone. Set right on a stunning beachfront, it boasts 6 large pools including a gorgeous infinity pool, plus relaxing jacuzzis. If you love animals, you’ll regularly see the donkeys roaming on the beach🫏 There are plenty of bars, buffet options, and a fantastic selection of à la carte restaurants – and yes, the all-inclusive runs 24 hours 😅 The beach bar is an absolute must 🍹 and the karaoke bar is always buzzing 🎤
🎶 The entertainment programme is brilliant, with activities throughout the day and themed evening shows followed by live singers 💃🏼 It’s lively, fun, and perfect for all ages.
🥳 One of the standout extras is the weekly White or Neon Party at Riu Karamboa – adults-only, with a free shuttle and all-inclusive drinks 🍻🍹 Such a great night!
👨👩👧👦 For families, this hotel really shines. The RIU Kidsland is fantastic – a separate area just for families with its own pool, slides 🛝, a sheltered baby pool (a rare and amazing feature in the heat!), playground, and kids club. My twins absolutely loved it!
🏋️♀️ There’s also so much on-site: tennis 🎾, padel, basketball 🏀, gym, spa 🧖🏻♀️, hairdressers, RIU Art classes 🎨, plus shops and beach huts for souvenirs 🛍️
💛 I felt completely safe both in the resort and when exploring locally – the people were so warm and welcoming.
🌴 We also did two amazing excursions:
* A Beach BBQ in Sal Rei at Aeisios Beach Bar – stunning views, great food, and a relaxing day by the sea
* The unforgettable African Night at Morabeza Beach Bar – my highlight of the trip! Think beach DJ, African dance show, and even a fire breather 🔥👯♂️
The trips were booked through Andrew Worthington - I recommend him so much and so do many others. Super affordable trips and the money also goes to the incredible locals!
⚡️ The hotel is closing in a few days for refurbishment and will reopen in October 2026 with even more to offer – including a steakhouse, American sports bar, and additional restaurants.
